yeah everyone does presume that alright but its the location and the weather thats really winning me over, plus the people that go to the effort to go are really close friends family etc not just the neighbour you have to invite !! Yeah brid2be have been over a few times really love portugal i find the people so friendly & we kinda know the area so it will be handy for giving our guests some information on where to go , stay etc. yeah its an exciting time thinkin of having a church wedding then to venue must look into the paper work side to see what has to done.
100 people thats a great turn out ye will be partying for the week :) :)

Hi there, I am brand new engaged and brand new to site. Would love to get married in the Algarve , and was wondering has anyone considered the Estoi Palace or is anyone getting married there? I have visited it a couple of times as a tourist and it is in a beautiful location.

Hi girls,

am new here on this forum, but have been reading with lots of interest. I am getting married in the Algarve in Sept 2011. Met with Paula, booked the Clubhouse in the Vila Vita and Double Cocktail for our music for the day and I have to say they have all been superb.
We go to Armacao de Pera for our holiday (which is only 1 mile from Vila Vita) and I didnt really want the hotel atmosphere, so when Paula suggested the Vila Vita I was very sceptical. But the Clubhouse is fab, very informal, eating outside on the balcony and even better - its exclusive to you for the night... you can go into next door, the aladdin bar for as long as you want.

As for the Vila Vita, yes its expensive, but Helena has been so good, we changed a lot within the package, will be changing the format of the menu, the menu itself, doing most of my own table decorations and having the cocktail hour in our fav beach bar and things like that. They really have been so accommodating.

If any of you want more info, I also did up my own wedding website and put that on the save the dates - pm for the details no problem....

I am scouring the net at the moment, for favours, and new ideas like the pamper basket in the ladies loos, flip flops, etc... any ideas anyone????

Hi all.
Yeah that is the main reason also why we want to get married abroad. It is the fact that the people and family that are most important in your life will be the ones to make the effort for your wedding day. We were at a wedding years ago and it was one great party for the week. We were doing something everynight, met people who you would not normally have time to spend with. We all had a ball, and it is still talked about.....
It was so great, we have decided this is the route we want, so we have sort of decided Portual, Algarve, though it might not be until 2012, gives us time to save, but we have contacted Simpliclity Events and we have got a lot of information so far, we just need to visit the Algarve, where our planner said that she will show us possible venue.

Hi all, not sure of venue or even country yet.. I'm looking into venues in France and Portugal and came across Os Augustos the other day. I'm looking for any advise anyone can pass on from their experiences.

Yes - Os Agostos

smiley_face just wondering if you've had you wedding or is it next summer? How did it go? What kind of numbers did you have attending? What kind of prices did they charge? Did you have the ceremony onsite? What was it like overall?
