Weddings in Albufeira

Postby lucylocket82 » Wed Mar 24, 2010 9:14 am

Hi all,

I am getting married in the Algarve in September 2011.I have chosen a wedding planner and met up with her here in Dublin to go through all of the available options.
After going through lots & lots of venues, we came across 1 place that really took our fancy. Its called the CS Sao Rafael Atlantic Hotel. It only opened in November 2009.It has a sister hotel in the same area which is 5yrs old and its called the CS Sao Rafael Suite Hotel.
Was just wondering if anyone knew anything about the CS hotel chain in general? The photos look fab and considering the hotel only opened in November i cant imagine the photos are lying ;)

One thing our wedding planner mentioned, is that because we have such a big amount of guests (150 - 180) not all venues in the Algarve will suit us.
She told us about the marquee option but to be honest it wasnt for us.
We are visiting the Algarve on April 2nd for two nights. The wedding planner is picking us up at the airport and taking us straight to the CS Atlantic Hotel.
In the unfortunate case that its not what we expect, does anyone have any other recommendations of venues that we can visit? Please bear in mind our number of guests.
Thanks so much & i look forward to all responses :D

Hi I'm looking into the CS as one of my venues also and hope to visit soon. Let me know how you're getting on? May I ask which planner you're going with? :nopity

hi, i am also getting married in the algarve and paula is my planner,
when she picked us up from the airport she took us to about 5 or 6 venues and would have taken us to more except we had decided to choose one of them , so id say shell take you to a few different ones anyway.
(we are getting married in Carvoeiro and having reception in Silves in a farmhouse-type building)
im going over again in april 23rd for tasting the menu we have picked and hair and makeup trials i think.
enjoy your weekend- hope you find somewhere nice :-)

Hi flower bride, yes i found the perfect location fab hotel Grand Reale santa eulalia albuferia right on the beach just what i wanted with that wow factor and great location so wedding booked for 15 june 2011. The wedding planner was a great help and we got to see the band to which was a bonus and they where excellent,Got to go over menus too so we came home very happy i love Portugal and cant wait to get married there. The only prob was we went for 3 days and with the volcanic ash we didnt return for another 7days so that was a nightmare but once again Paula and the Double cocktail (the band) brought us out for drinks to cheer us up. So been busy since i got back so things starting to get back to normal. So tell me how your plans are coming along did or have u pick your venue and whats your wedding date.

Look forward to hearing from you,

Tee xx

thanks a mill for getting back to me.
we received news which leaves us no other choice but to postpone our wedding. I'm gutted. I was really looking forward to it but my hubby was told last week that he’s going to be made redundant…. there is no other way……….Hope everything will work out for you, sounds like you ‘re going to have a fab day Cailin

Hi There Shinny, I choose the Algrave Wedding Planners myself as i was at a wedding there last July and was a bridesmaid for my friend who also choose a fab Viila wedding called Quinta Da Lua, Portugal you should Google it and the Algrave Wedding Planners. The work they do is endless can supply your band dj venue hair and make-up literally everything and the whole Co are so nice. We went out on April Paula collected myself and partner from Airport and brought use to our choosen venue and we where very over whelmed it was everything and more, she had choosen this venue just by me e-mailing her what we would like size etc, but i was lucky enough to had meet her in Bewleys in Feb and she showed me plenty of ideas, iam sure she will be back in Ireland soon you should e-mail there website, for me its the finishing touches and her always on hand to help that made me choose them plus like i said before was lucky enough to be part of a wedding she organised . I think it would be really worth your while to e-mail her and google that villa it was breath taking.

Hope your search goes well and I've giving you a bit of useful info!

Tee.
