Chances are if you’re a bride getting married during the chilly months, you’ll have thought about how you’re going to keep warm and what type of cover ups you will have your maids wear. But what about the groom? Yes, he’ll be more covered up that you, but his outfit should also be winter appropriate. Today we’re having a look at some of the most stylish winter styling looks and tips to make sure he’s toasty warm and looking sharp!

Fabric: Tweeds have become very popular for grooms, and for great reason, they look great, are available in a number of colours and are a good heavy fabric to keep you warm. Alternatively a good quality wool or cashmere mix suit will look dapper.

Velvet: There’s nothing like adding a touch of velvet to give your look a wintery feel. If you’re brave enough a velvet jacket is oh so cool, or velvet accents such as a bow tie in a rich berry shade is a great winter look.

Colour: That rule book you were reading, scrap it! Who says you have to wear black, grey, navy or brown, not us. Head to the high street for a coloured suit with attitude, maybe even a tartan print like this one from Marks & Spencer?

Accessories: Don’t be afraid to add a great fitting overcoat or scarf to your look. For an informal do a chunky cable knit sweater on a man with ‘tude is fine!

Mix textures: Paisley, tweed and gingham can and do work together. Don’t be afraid to show your style on your wedding day.
