“Our story begins back in February of 2004 when I met Stan at the Catholic Youth Centre while attending a district swim meet. At the time, I was a junior at Bishop Hoban High School and Stan was a senior at GAR High School. Although, this was the first time Stan and I had officially met, we had crossed paths several times before,” explained Sara.

“Stan and I began dating a few weeks later, making it official on March 8, 2004. We attending each other’s proms and spent almost all summer with each other until, the moment finally came when Stan had to head off to college,” added Sara.

Over the following few years, Sara and Stan did their best to keep their long distance relationship going, especially when they moved on to different colleges. “The distance was challenging on our relationship and while trying to prepare for our future and discover who we are, we had some “time outs.” Distance is a real test to a relationship. This was a great challenge and for most relationships, this would have been the end. But, there was just something worth fighting for with us,” said Sara.

Ten years after getting together, Stan proposed and Sara immediately began planning their perfect wedding day. After doing their research they chose Friedman Farms, in Dallas, PA as their venue. “This was my absolute dream place for our wedding, it was rustic but elegant. A country girls dream,” said Sara.

“As most couples will probably agree, the planning part is not always as easy as it may seem. Stan and I had our share of disagreements regarding certain aspects of the wedding but, in the end it all worked out. On your big day, the only thing that truly matters is that you get to marry the person you love and want to spend the rest of your life with. All the other beautiful things are just a bonus,” added Sara.
