Seeing Each Other Before The Ceremony?

Seeing each Other Before The Wedding Ceremony

We recently chatted with our fans on our facebook page about whether they want to see their loved ones before their wedding ceremony.

Whether it’s for superstitious reasons, tradition, or because they wanted to see experience that first glance feeling as they walk up the aisle, most couples choose not to see each other before their wedding.

So we thought we’d do some research, and came across this gorgeous alternative by sharing a moment together before your ceremony, without spoiling the tradition. Julie and Ryan managed to take pre-ceremony photos without actually seeing each other, behind a door.

I recently photographed the wedding f an Irish groom & Swedish bride – the Swedish tradition is for Bride & groom to walk the aisle together and so was greeted by the groom upon her arrival at the church.

That’s a nice tradition David. It probably means the groom is less nervous than waiting at the top of the aisle here!

The polish tradition is to walk up the aisle together. We are getting married in Ireland, I’m my dad’s first and first to get married. We decided to let my dad walk me up the aisle and for my fiance to see me only at the altar.

I recently got married and saw my husband before the ceremony. We did our first glance in private and it was a very special moment of the day. Then we did some of our photos before the ceremony so we could spend more time mingling with guests afterwards! Worked out perfect.
