Leading Ladies: Pastel Bridesmaid Dresses

By  |

Hurray! February is upon us at last and the promise of spring is in the air! I think it’s fair to say that we are all ready to wear less layers and start spring shopping …. and spring cleaning – sorry, we had to say it! One trend that pops up year after year, both in our everyday wardrobe and on the wedding circuit, is pastels. 2014 is no exception, but this year we are excited to see blush shades taking the spotlight, with powder blue revving up the colour charts too. So, if your leading ladies are in need of dressing, look no further, because today we’ve got pretty pastel bridesmaid dresses and where to find them.

First up is twobirds. Just before Christmas this amazing brand launched four new shades to their already vast selection; duck egg, heather, mint and peach would be ideal for your late Spring bash. Twobirds dresses are available from The Bridal Lounge, Dublin.

Also hitting the pastel boom perfectly is Kelsey Rose. Here are two of our favourites; salmon and ivory scoop neck with overlaid lace and full skirt, or if you’re looking for a dress to compliment your zingy yellow wedding, the honeydew lace contemporary cocktail dress might be the one for your girls? Kelsey Rose dresses are available from Aphrodite, Newcastlewest.

Soft sugary colours are so pretty and none more so than this lilac one shoulder gown from Sophia Tolli. Sophia Tolli designs can be found at The Bridal Boutique, Fairview, Dublin. Another sweet option is this modern classic cap sleeve full length gown from the Dessy. The Dessy collection is available from Ciara Rose Bridal Boutique, Celbridge.

Is grey considered a pastel?! Either way we think this pale grey full length gown from Alfred Angelo would work really well teamed with feminine shades of pink. And if two tone is your thing, this one shoulder short gown with two shades of blue is a beauty, also by Alfred Angelo. The Alfred Angelo collection is available from Belleza Bridal Wear, Dublin.

We love the flattering elegance of this wrap style Sydney dress from BHLDN. The powder blue is ideal for a spring soiree. Visit BHLDN here.

This fun tangerine dress from the Occasions collection by JLM is a winner in our books! Soft enough to be in your pastel vision, but bright enough to pack a punch. JLM dresses are stocked at Kadee Bride, Athlone.
