Spring Stationery and DIY Wedding Favours .. Editor’s Picks February 16th

By  |

With restaurant reservations to make, cards to buy and outfits to plan, we know your mind mightn’t have been entirely on the wedding planning job this Valentine’s week. But don’t worry, we forgive you! Here’s our editor’s top five picks to help you catch up.

5. I love arts and crafts, but to be honest I’m pretty terrible at it, which is why I can’t believe that this step-by-step DIY wedding favours tutorial is so simple that even I couldn’t mess it up.

4. I love the brown paper used in this travel themed wedding stationery from Pretty As A Picture. It reminds me so much of freshly covered primary school books – I can almost smell it! Click here for more spring wedding stationery from Irish wedding suppliers.

3. I was pretty please to read in the Mrs2Be Bridal Beauty Survey 2014 results that none of our Missies are using sun beds regularly. Although, some of the stats were pretty surprising. Let it be known, if you suffer from skin problems or can’t find a foundation to match your skin tone, you’re definitely not alone!

2. I genuinely nearly lost it when I found out that the OPW are opening up certain Irish heritage sites to civil ceremonies – think of the possibilities! I’ve earmarked Lady Gregory’s Coole Park in Co. Galway. No copying.

1. My favourite piece from this week has to be real bride Roisin’s practical tips and advice on planning a wedding in Ireland from abroad. She certainly knows what she’s talking about, having planned her stylish Meath wedding all the way from Sydney, Australia, employing every trick in the book along the way!
