High school sweethearts, Sibeal and Rob met in maths class when they were 18 and have been together ever since! We’re delighted to share their wild and natural late summer wedding with you today, with stunning photography from Dena Shearer Photography.

Whilst living in Sydney the couple took a long weekend break to Tasmania where Rob popped the question on a secluded beach at sunset – how romantic!

Sibeal enlisted her very own personal assistant, her mum Rosarii, to help her plan their dream day. The couple did set a budget but soon went over it but we think it was worth every cent!

“We thought venue, food and music were the most important things to spend the big bucks on… but we didn’t go cheap for Rob’s suit either – it had to be custom made from Louis Copeland!” said Sibeal.

From the very beginning of their planning process a natural and simple wedding scheme came together with stunning beige bridesmaids dresses and wild flowers in shades of green and white. “This theme emerged because I had a preference for natural colours and Rob loved the clean, crisp and simple look. The centrepieces were clean and crisp and white flowers only in clear vases with white candles and all the names of the guests were written on stones in white,” added Sibeal.

Sibeal chose her gown from The Town Bride in Powerscourt. “Colm at The Town Bride is a genius and an absolute perfectionist, in the best way. I tried 20 dresses in about five different shops and found nothing and was getting panicked. Then I met Colm and never looked back – I didn’t choose the dress, I chose the dressmaker first!” explained Sibeal.

“The day went without one single hitch, literally a dream. Probably because I am planner extraordinaire!! My Dad, Conor called Rob’s Dad, Mick, the wrong name during the speeches which was a pretty funny moment. Rob’s Dad showed up to the Day two celebrations wearing a name tag as a gag!” added Sibeal.

Sibeal’s Planning Advice

People are so kind and helpful about trying to help you plan your wedding but it is so easy to get bogged down by other people’s opinions, thoughts, advice, tips… you cannot listen to everybody and you certainly cannot please everybody. Have a really solid idea of what you, as a couple, want the day to look like and don’t feel bad about sticking to your guns!
